Welcome. I’m glad you found this place. Look around but keep in mind that things are still under construction. There’s much more content to add and we’ll be doing that regularly.
There will be stuff about Kewpees, Mohawk Airlines, Griffiss Air Force Base, local history, local trivia, local landmarks, trips I take and things I do - well, some of the things I do.
While you’re here, sign up for my e-column. Once a week you’ll automatically get sent my column. If you enjoyed the column I used to write in the Observer-Dispatch, I think you’ll enjoy my e-column and the price is 50 cents cheaper than it cost to read it in the O-D. If you didn’t enjoy the O-D column, don’t waste your time signing up for the e-column, even if it is for free.
I’m also doing a blog. I want it to be a daily blog. We’ll see how successful I am.
And I’m going to write a book online. I’ve never written an in-progress book online. You’ve probably never read an in-progress book online or offline. You’ll get to see the book take shape, before any editing, just as I type it. This might not be pretty. We’ll see what happens. The book is a sort of memoir. The title: “I Used To Think I’d Live Forever, But Now I’m Not So Sure.”

But as I told some college kids who were interviewing me the other day (see my blog entry dated 11-1-05), please don’t ask anything tough. I’m not that smart.
